Loise Ngugi Sauer

Loise Sauer is CEO of Star Travel & Tours, a comprehensive travel services company with offices in the USA & Kenya. She has extensive international business and entrepreneurial experience gained by marketing commodities and services. 

Ms. Sauer has provided trade negotiations and procurement services on a global scale, including setting up trading divisions and executing contracts for international organizations and governments, managing diverse portfolios, and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.

For more than two decades, as CEO of Star Travel & Tours, Ms. Sauer has utilized her international marketing skills to spearhead the company’s successful expansion to North America and implemented her vision to build meaningful relationships and collaborations with clients and a large spectrum of travel trade stakeholders.

Ms. Sauer oversees a portfolio that covers Leisure, Business, Educational & Mission Travel, arranging Air Travel, Fully Escorted Tours (FETs), Ground Handling & Support Services, International Corporate & Business Delegations, Reverse Trade Missions, Conference & Events Facilitation, Marketing & Management Services. Clients and strategic partners include the US Commercial Service, American Bible Society, Barclays Bank of Kenya, Chase Bank Kenya, Exim Bank, Corporate Council on Africa as well as Universities, Churches & Nonprofits as well as many Africans living in the Diaspora.

Ms. Sauer has spearheaded a partnership with the US Commercial Service Nairobi office to facilitate, host and offer logistical support to over 50 Trade Delegations under the US Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program (IBP). 

In another collaboration with the US Commercial Service, Nairobi and Protocol International, Ms. Sauer was responsible for organizing the “Kenya Protocol Training Week”, a weeklong Business Etiquette, Professional, and Personal Development training event that included over 900 participants. By recruiting Corporate Sponsors and Reciprocal Partners, the program was able to subsidize participation costs, making the training more accessible to a greater cross section of the Kenyan market. 

As her company celebrates twenty years of expansion and growth in North America, Ms. Sauer plans to continue adopting her extensive knowledge of international travel, and the inter-dependency that exists between International Tourism, Trade and Commerce to expand relationships, leverage technology by adopting digital and AI tools to design innovative services and products aimed at streamlining internal and collaborative agility and improve the customer’s journey and ultimate experience. 

Ms. Sauer is passionate about community and supports numerous charitable organizations internationally.
